A conversion factor is a ratio of two quantities which are equal to each other but have different units. The ratio is equal to 1, so it won't change the value, just the units.

Set up the conversion factor so that you cancel out the units you don't want and leave the units you do want.

Start with the fact that 0.4536 kg equals 1 pound, and combine them into a conversion factor so that pounds cancel out and leave kilograms.

131 lb x 0.4536 kg / 1 lb = 59.4 kg

Now here's another option. You can use Google to do conversions, too. Go to Google and type the following:

and you get 59.4 kg

I have a few questions related to scientific conversions, that I can't find the solution to in textbooks nor websites. I may just be looking in the wrong areas, but I thought I'd ask.

Is there a table that will show the conversions for:

If Jesus was a god, why did he pray to the god?

I'm confused with Christian teaching that claim Jesus was god.
If Jesus was god, why did he pray and praise the God?
Is he praying to himself?

Isn't that what we call such people as mentally challenged? Talk to himself?

How could the god pray to himself? In fact, why the God need to pray?

This totally defeats the meaning of God, who supposedly is “self-sufficient” and not depending on anything else.

Mt:26:39: .. O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Translated:
Oh ME, if it be possible, let this cup pass from ME: nevertheless not as I will, but as I will.

Doesn't this proves that there is another FAR SUPERIOR BEING than Jesus himself?

Please help me to understand this so that it makes sense.
How I see this now is totally incomprehensible.

Norway is the place where rainscreen cladding had its birth. It was not a scientific breakthrough, however, but more a gradual discovery that happened centuries ago in a largely intuitive way. Norwegian builders, probably through trial and error, found a way to utilise drained and back-ventilated cladding with joints that were both closed and open.

The first buildings to have this type of cladding were large barns. This is why they called it “the open-jointed barn technique.” The timber cladding had closed joints with opening at the top and at the bottom of the timber to allow for water drainage, and also for the evaporation of any rain moisture that managed to penetrate inside.

Scientific research of the underlying principles of a rainscreen didn’t start until as late as the 1940s. It was quickly recognised that the principles involved in rainscreen cladding was vastly superior to anything else in use at the time. That still holds true today.

The early research concluded that it is unwise to allow walls made of brick or cement to be exposed to rain over a long period of time without having anything to prevent the porous nature of the materials from absorbing water in a way that is similar to blotting paper.

The idea of fitting an outer screen wall to porous brick and cement walls that could repel rainwater was adopted. It was also easy to make this screen aesthetically pleasing at the same time. Just because its primary purpose is to serve as a rainscreen, there is no reason why it can’t look good too.

The outer screen also needs to have strength qualities and it needs to have an acceptably low cost. The design also needs to be such that it can, through proper ventilation, remove any water vapour that finds its way into the space between the wall and the cladding.

The Alcoa building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was one of the first very large buildings to utilise modern rainscreen cladding. The 30-story building was built with large baffled aluminium panels. The baffling provided resistance to penetration from water and the ventilation to dry and water moisture was provided in the airspace between the cladding and the main wall.

In the early 1960s the Norwegian Building Research Institute published the idea of equalising the air pressure between the screen and the wall with the air pressure on the outside. This has the effect of preventing water penetrating into the wall. The rainscreen prevents the actual wall becoming excessively wet.

The terms “rainscreen principle” and “open rainscreen” were first used in 1963 by the National Research Council of Canada. Research continued through the 1960s and 1970s with refinements being made principally in Canada and in Europe.

By the 1980s the principles of rainscreen cladding was well understood. Its use has proliferated, especially in Europe, and experimentation with various different materials is ongoing. Today, the potential problems that may arise through the effects of global warming is now being taken into consideration in building techniques and industry standards regarding rainscreen systems.

You’ve decided to build your own electric car and now you need reliable electric car plans. We’ve found some good plans that we will share with you to get you started.

First, what do you need to begin?

· Simple tools found in any household workshop- saws, drills, wrenches etc.

· A place to work- shop, garage, barn or even outside is fine

· Detailed electric car plans

Before you get started you will need a vehicle to do the conversion with. I say conversion because any vehicle will work for this project, but some are better than others. Gas or diesel doesn’t matter as you will be removing the engine anyways, and everything related to fuel and exhaust.

Your new electric car will produce no fumes either. We think that’s great.

You will need a vehicle with a standard transmission though. Automatic transmissions just don’t work with electric motors for cars.

Don’t worry; you won’t have to learn how to drive a standard though if you don’t know how. Your electric car will drive just like an automatic. Just put it in gear and drive. It’s that easy, no shifting in town at all.

When you pull up to the stop light for instance the electric motor just stops. It’s all explained in detail in the electric car plans.

Your new electric car will have great acceleration too. We were amazed at how fast it was off the line in town.

Your electric car will be able to go 50 mph and have an effective range up to 200 miles on a single charge depending on your choice of vehicles and your driving habits.

We kind of lean towards using small trucks now that we have done 3 conversions ourselves. Small trucks like the older Toyota Tacoma (around 1995 or so) offer a lot of room for battery placement. They are light and strong too, a perfect combination for this project.

Small cars work well too, but offer fewer options for battery placement.

Our best range vehicle is actually our Toyota Corolla, well over 200 miles between charges.

This is not a difficult project either although you will need a helper at times. Those extra hands when you are attaching the DC motor are needed.

How much does it cost?

You can build your own electric car for only a few hundred dollars (including the cost of the detailed plans). If you use the sources of free batteries and free DC motors found in the electric car plans you can keep the cost down to a very reasonable level.

Imagine the first time you drive by a gas station while others are filling up. Did you know that gas is expected to reach $7 per gallon next year?

Isn’t it time you did your own electric car conversion? Let’s get started.

And whenever I try to download it onto Facebook it says ” Sorry that's not a video file that we support”
and when I try to upload it to Youtube it says it was unaible to convert the file.
What's the problem and can you tell me how to upload it to facebook/youtube?
