Just discovered that I have bats in my loft. As much as I like them they make one hell of a mess on my balcony which is below where they fly into the roof. Any ideas please ?

Have a great day!
Many of you may have been asked as a kid if you were raised in a barn. I remember many times when my mother would say this at various times, and at the time we would just shrug it off, laugh and carry on. When you grow up, however, and you pass a barn, there is a certain nostalgic feeling to the way the wood on a barn looks. If you grew up in the country then there is much more nostalgia there, but even if you grew up in the city, the very look of the barn tends to make you feel free somehow. I’m not sure if it has something to do with the design, the grain of the wood, or the simplicity of the colors involved. Did you know you could get barnwood siding for your home?
There are several manufacturers that recycle barn wood, often taking real barn wood and cutting it into less thick pieces, and mounting it onto reinforced carbon fiber or other strong materials that can stand the test of time and weather for several decades to come. Although it is highly doubtful that you will want to shape your home like a barn, you would be surprised how well accepted this look is on even a standard modern home. The beauty of siding is that it can be shaped, different tones of wood can be used on it and it truly lasts a long time. You don’t have to cover your entire home in it either. Many are finding that using this as trim, or even around the sides along with other types of siding like stone siding, for example, can blend the modern day look of wealth, and the old school barn wood look of hard working farm land owners.
Barnwood siding is brilliant at bringing out your homes design as well. Many have used this type of siding as a base look, then complemented it with other types to create a truly unique, but perfectly complementary look. The authentic wood used in barnwood siding brings a sense of nostalgia, after all we’ve all heard the story of the three little pigs, and other barn yard fables we grew up to. It’s like bringing a sense of our childhood back home, here in the present, where we can not only share it with others, but that we can look at and touch each and every day!
